Board of Supervisors Meeting

The Winnebago County Board of Supervisors meets regularly on Tuesdays in the second-floor boardroom. Meetings are held until the agenda is completed. To be on the agenda, please submit a request to Karla Weiss, Auditor, by 8:00 a.m. on the Monday before the meeting.

Auction Donation Drop-off Event

The Friends of Winnebago County Conservation Foundation will be hosting a Spring Cleanup Online Auction in April to raise money for the completion of the Hanson Nature Center! So, we are asking people to donate items for the auction such as household goods, furniture, artwork, collectibles, guns, machinery, and outdoor gear. (No clothing will be accepted.) People will be able to drop off small items at this event, but can also give small items to Foundation members any time from March 20th-April 10th.

Larger items can be taken directly to Hallberg Auction at 2409 Highway 9, Buffalo Center, from March 20th-April 10th. People should contact Hallberg's first at 1-800-373-2255 before dropping off large items.

Bluebirds in Iowa

Join us for a live Zoom program to learn more about how you can welcome the bluebirds back this spring! We'll have information about their life cycle, what they eat, where they live, and how you can attract them to your area. There will be time for questions and answers and all participants will also receive free plans so they can build their own bluebird nesting box. Just contact Naturalist Lisa Ralls to sign up and receive the Zoom link.
