The Lake Catherine Cabin at Thorpe Park will be closed for the winter, and for maintenance, through March, 7th, 2024. The cabin is scheduled to reopen on March 8th, contingent upon weather and road conditions. The WCCB will continue to accept reservations for the rest of 2024, though.

The Friends of Winnebago County Conservation are raffling off a colorful prairie quilt to raise money for exhibits at the new Hanson Nature Center! The quilt was beautifully crafted by Diane Rickerl and Cindy Sarver and graciously donated to the Foundation to be used as a fundraiser. Raffle tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the Hanson Nature Center. The quilt drawing will be held in November.
