The Lake Catherine Cabin at Thorpe Park will reopen for the seaon on Friday, April 25th. To learn more about the cabin, please check out the Lake Catherine Cabin tab on the Conservation Board page. You can also check out the reservation calendar there to see which dates are available and download a reservation form.

The County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year County tax asking as follows:
Meeting Date: 3/24/2026 Meeting Time: 11:00 AM Meeting Location: Winnebago County Supervisors Office 126 South Clark St. Forest City, IA 50436
At the public hearing any resident or taxpayer may present objections to, or arguments in favor of the proposed tax levy. After the hearing of the proposed tax levy,the Board will publish notice and hold a hearing on the proposed county budget.
