Just as in past years, deer hunting is not allowed in Thorpe Park and the park will be closed to the public during the Shotgun Deer Season, from December 7th-22nd. Deer hunting is allowed in the adjacent Thorpe Recreation Area to the east, as well as in the Russ Wildlife Area to the west.

The County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year County tax asking as follows:

At the public hearing any resident or taxpayer may present objections to, or arguments in favor of the proposed tax levy. After the hearing of the proposed tax levy,the Board will publish notice and hold a hearing on the proposed county budget.
