The Winnebago County Conservation Board offices have moved to the new Hanson Nature Center! The move was made at the end of January. Although the offices are now located at the new center, the facility has yet to be furnished and displays and exhibits are in the early stages. Those will be ongoing projects that the public will be able to see unfold over time. The new WCCB address is the Hanson Nature Center, 41600 Highway 69, Leland, IA, 50453. The new phone number is 641-567-3390.

Now that the building is completed, the public is invited to attend any of four Open Houses that have been scheduled. Those events will be held on February 23rd, March 1st, March 8th, and March 16th, all from 1:00-4:00 PM. During those times, people are welcome to stop by, tour the building, and enjoy some refreshments! A Grand Opening will be scheduled for this spring, once furnishings have been purchased and a few displays have been completed. Then, regular building hours will be established. The WCCB wants to, once again, thank everyone who has donated to this project over the past few years!
