Sex Offenders

Offenders who need to register with Winnebago County should call the Sheriff's Office at 641-585-2828 to schedule an appointment with a sex offender registry officer.

If you are aware of an offender who has not registered or is not living at their registered address, please contact our office and we will check that they are compliant with the Iowa code. Do not take action on your own; contact your local law enforcement office.

Registration Requirements

Offenders must register with the Sheriff's Office upon moving to Winnebago County. All information, specified by Iowa Code Chapter 692A at the time of initial registration, must be provided and any changes to that information must be reported within five (5) business days.
