As Director of the Winnebago County Conservation Board, Chris' jobs include administrative work such as budgeting and personnel matters, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Conservation Board. He is also responsible for new land purchases. He has been with WCCB since 2024.
Lisa manages the WCCB's Environmental Education Program. She develops and presents environmental programs for school and youth groups, as well as for the general public. In addition, she publishes "The Prairie Country Quarterly" (the WCCB's public newsletter), issues press releases, writes a monthly column for county papers, and manages the WCCB website and social media feeds. She has been employed by the WCCB since 1985.
Rick's job duties include managing the parks and wildlife areas, including their day-to-day maintenance, as well as conducting habitat improvement projects. He is also in charge of the WCCB's Roadside Management Program. He has been a WCCB employee since 1999.
Nicole assists with the management of our parks and wildlife areas, including their day-to-day maintenance, implements habitat improvement projects, conducts roadside spraying, and helps with education and outreach. She spent four summers with the WCCB and became a full-time employee in 2020.
The Winnebago County Conservation Board meets at the Hanson Nature Center on the second Monday of each month at 8:00 A.M. These meetings are open to the public.
